ComfyUI
Open-source node-based canvas from San Francisco for building image, video and audio AI workflows locally or in the cloud.
What it does
In ComfyUI you connect models, processing steps and outputs as nodes on a canvas. This gives you workflows for images, image editing, video, audio and 3D, for example with Flux, Qwen Image, Wan or LTX. Inpainting, upscaling and frame interpolation are built in. You save workflows as JSON files and reuse them. Thousands of community extensions add more functions. An API, CLI and MCP let you plug workflows into your own applications. Comfy Agent builds a workflow from a plain-language description.
Who it suits
Designers, agencies and developers who want precise, repeatable control over image and video generation. If you have your own hardware with a suitable graphics card, you can work entirely locally.
Data protection for businesses
Run locally, workflows, models and outputs stay on your machine. Telemetry in Comfy Desktop is only active if you opt in. Comfy Cloud runs in the USA on Google Cloud. The vendor does not offer EU data hosting. According to its terms, Comfy does not use inputs or outputs for training. A data processing agreement is available in the Enterprise plan, along with SSO and a SOC 2 Type II report. For teams there is the Team plan.
Limits
The interface takes time to learn. Locally you need a capable graphics card, or an Apple Silicon chip on a Mac. Partner nodes call external models and use up credits. You need to check the licences of individual models yourself.
