Bardeen
Browser extension from San Francisco that scrapes websites, enriches contact data and uses AI to pre-qualify leads for sales teams.
What it does
Bardeen runs as a browser extension and extracts data from websites – using ready-made templates or scrapers you build yourself. It adds a web search for finding new contacts, enrichment with verified email addresses and phone numbers, and an AI rating that sorts leads against your ideal customer profile. Results go to CSV or straight into Google Sheets, Airtable or Notion. Usage is billed in credits, mostly per row.
Who it suits
Mainly sales, customer success and revenue operations teams, but also freelancers, recruiters and estate agents who regularly compile lists of companies and contacts from the web.
Data protection for businesses
Bardeen is based in the US and may process data anywhere in the world, including the US; the vendor does not offer EU data hosting. It relies on EU Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers, and you request a data processing agreement by email from its privacy support. According to the vendor, your data is not used to train general AI models, so there is nothing to switch off. App data is mostly kept in your local browser storage. Bardeen holds SOC 2 Type II certification; businesses can choose the Enterprise plan.
Limits
The credit allowance is tight: enrichment costs three credits per row, and unused credits expire. When collecting personal contact data, you are responsible for establishing a GDPR legal basis yourself.
