Mendato

What it does

Mendato is industry software for building cleaning and facility services. It combines app-based time tracking with GPS checks, shift and leave planning, invoicing with DATEV export, costing from service specifications and per-site controlling. The AI comes through an MCP interface: you connect an assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT to your account. It can then analyse floor plans and GAEB tenders, create customers, sites and rooms, generate shifts, or read photographed timesheets and residence permits. You review the results before they go into a quote or plan.

Who it suits

Cleaning and facility companies with anywhere from a few to more than a hundred cleaners, and general contractors who manage subcontractors and settle with them via credit notes.

Data protection for businesses

Mendato states that the software is hosted in Germany; the vendor does not name a specific data centre. The vendor does not mention a data processing agreement on its pages – request one before you start. The vendor does not say whether inputs are used for AI training. Because the AI runs through an external assistant, that provider’s terms also apply to this data; use a business plan there that excludes training. The MCP connection is included from the Pro Plus package.

Limits

The AI features require your own access to an AI assistant and are only available from €499 a month. The privacy policy and terms date from 2019. Outside the cleaning industry the software is of little use.
