Rill Browser

Mac browser that hands tasks from any web page to Claude Code or Codex and uses AI to sort your tabs and history by project.

What it does

Rill is a web browser for the Mac that passes tasks to Claude Code or Codex. Press ⌘E to turn the page you are viewing into a plain-language task; the agent works in its own background tabs while you keep browsing and assigns the task to the matching project. Rill uses AI to group open tabs by topic, condenses your history into daily entries and lets you search it by description. A map view gives you an overview of your projects.

Who it suits

Developers and tech-savvy teams who already work with Claude Code or Codex and want to hand ideas to an agent straight from their research, instead of copying them into a terminal first.

Data protection for businesses

History, page content and passwords (in the macOS Keychain) stay on your Mac. The vendor runs no servers of its own for your data: depending on the feature, tab titles, addresses and page text go via the locally installed CLI to Anthropic or OpenAI, under the terms of your account there. Whether inputs are used for training therefore depends on your plan and settings with those providers. You can switch off individual AI features in the settings. Rill itself offers no EU data hosting, no data processing agreement and no business plans.

Limits

Runs only on macOS 14 or later on Macs with Apple silicon. The vendor describes Rill as an experimental beta that may change or stop working without notice. Without Claude Code or Codex access, the AI features cannot be used.
