Berlin-based platform that matches your projects with funding programmes in Germany and Austria and helps you draft grant applications.
What it does
Fördermittelkompass searches a database of more than 10,000 funding programmes from Germany and Austria, including around 600 EU programmes. You enter a profile of your organisation and a project description; the AI compares both against topic, target group, type of funding, regional restrictions and legal form, and suggests suitable programmes. The tool then helps you draft the application text.
Who it suits
Associations and non-profit organisations, municipalities, universities, small and medium-sized businesses, start-ups, and consultancies that look for funding on behalf of clients. Verified non-profits pay considerably less.
Data protection for businesses
The operator is the non-profit Reflecta gGmbH in Berlin. According to the product page, the application runs in Germany and the AI on servers in Germany and Europe. The privacy policy also names Microsoft Azure and models from OpenAI, Meta and Anthropic; Reflecta bases transfers to the US on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. Project data and application texts are not used for training unless you explicitly consent. You conclude the data processing agreement directly in the tool. AI inputs and outputs are generally deleted after twelve months. For teams, Pro (three users) and Navigator (ten users) are the relevant plans.
Limits
Each plan caps search profiles, users, active projects and applications per year – Basic, for example, allows five applications. The database only covers Germany, Austria and EU programmes. You need to review AI drafts yourself and adapt them to the funder’s requirements.
