EPIKUR

What it does

EPIKUR is practice software for psychotherapy practices on Mac, Windows and Linux. The e-therapie ONLINE edition includes AI modules called TINA: you record a session in the therapist app, the recording is transcribed and turned into a structured draft note, for example by course, interventions and agreements. With “Mit TINA suchen” you ask questions about the session notes in natural language, such as documented symptoms – photographed or scanned handwritten notes are included too. A report assistant drafts PTV-3 applications and reports from history, diagnoses and notes.

Who it suits

Psychotherapy practices, outpatient clinics and training institutes that use EPIKUR or want practice software with built-in documentation help.

Data protection for businesses

Per the vendor, servers are in the EU, data is end-to-end encrypted and transcripts are deleted after 30 days. Epikur does not pass data or results to third parties for training. The sub-processor list (as of August 2026) names Microsoft Azure / AI Foundry via Microsoft Ireland for transcription, summarisation and text generation. The vendor does not state which AI models are used. Recordings require the patient’s consent. Check with Epikur whether the data processing agreement covers the AI modules.

Limits

The AI modules are only available with e-therapie ONLINE. The vendor does not state the price after the trial. The notes are drafts: assessment and sign-off stay with you, and errors are possible.
