Editing.video
Free browser-based video editor that processes your files locally on your device – no account, subscription or cloud upload needed.
What it does
Editing.video is a video editor that runs directly in the browser. On a multi-track timeline you arrange videos, images, titles and music, trim and cut clips, add text, stickers, shapes and masks, and adjust volume. Projects can be set up as 16:9, 1:1 or 9:16, for example for YouTube or Reels. Speech recognition for captions runs on your device. Separate tools cover conversion, compression, screen recording and turning video into GIFs.
Who it suits
Anyone who occasionally edits short clips, product demos, tutorials or social media posts and doesn’t want to install software or create an account.
Data protection for businesses
Your videos, images and audio are processed in the browser and not uploaded; projects are kept in your browser’s storage. According to the vendor, your material is not used for AI training. The website uses Google Analytics. The vendor does not name a server location and does not mention a data processing agreement. There are no business plans.
Limits
The privacy policy and terms do not say who operates the service. Performance and export options depend on your browser and computer. If you clear browser data or lose the device, projects are gone – the vendor cannot restore them. There are no smartphone apps.
