What it does
AI ReFounder is a voice agent that answers calls to your online shop. It responds to questions about products, sizing and shipping, helps with checkout and completes purchases on its own outside business hours. During opening hours it passes certain requests to your team. It recognises returning callers from earlier conversations, and a dashboard shows metrics such as order rates. You connect it via a Shopify app or a JavaScript snippet.
Who it suits
Online shops with noticeable call volume that don’t want to lose calls at night or at weekends. Per-minute billing also suits smaller retailers.
Data protection for businesses
Customer data is stored on AWS in the United States, and voice processing is handled by the provider Retell AI. The vendor does not offer EU data hosting. Where AI ReFounder acts as a processor, the privacy policy refers to a Data Processing Addendum and Standard Contractual Clauses. Calls are recorded and, in de-identified form, also used to train the vendor’s own models unless you opt out of recording; the vendor does not explain the opt-out in detail. Informing callers is your responsibility. There are no dedicated business plans.
Limits
The vendor does not state which languages the agent speaks. The terms are geared to US and Canadian telephony law. The stated revenue and accuracy figures come from the vendor itself.
