Rool
AI workspace from Dublin: your own Linux machine in the cloud with files, chat and tools, hosted in Finland.
What it does
Rool gives you your own virtual Linux machine in the cloud, which you control through chat with an AI model. The AI creates files, runs scripts and software, maintains structured data and keeps context across sessions. Built-in connectors and your own MCP servers link in other services. You can turn on web search, image generation and voice input when you need them. You can create several machines per account and download your files at any time or retrieve them via API.
Who it suits
Individuals and knowledge workers who spend longer stretches on projects with AI and want to keep files, notes and results in one place, for example for research, data preparation or small automations.
Data protection for businesses
According to the vendor, machines, files and conversations are stored in Finland. Rool runs most models itself on servers in the EU. Some add-on services such as web search or sending email go through providers in the United States. Your content is never used to train AI models, and you do not need to change any setting for this. The vendor does not publish a data processing agreement for customers; ask them directly if you need one. A team plan with shared billing and admin controls is not available yet.
Limits
Usage is billed in AI credits that refill every hour. The vendor does not say exactly which models it runs. Each machine has 1 to 10 GB of storage, depending on the plan. The product only launched in 2026.
