Contract management software from Germany that analyses contracts with AI, tracks deadlines and answers questions about your contract portfolio.
What it does
ContractHero gathers all contracts in one place – by upload, from SharePoint, Google Drive or by email – and makes them searchable in full text. The AI extracts parties, terms, notice periods, amounts and clauses, sorts contracts into categories and links every statement to its source in the document. A chat lets you ask questions about your entire contract portfolio. On top of that come tiered deadline reminders, approval workflows, templates, eIDAS-compliant electronic signatures and reports for management and audits. An MCP connector also lets you query contract data from Claude or ChatGPT.
Who it suits
Mid-sized companies in German-speaking countries where finance, procurement, legal or management handle many contracts across several entities or sites – for example for year-end closing, due diligence or evidence under NIS2 and DORA.
Data protection for businesses
According to the vendor, the application and the AI run in data centres in Germany. ContractHero states that customer data is not used to train AI models, so there is nothing to switch off. The vendor provides a data processing agreement for download and is ISO 27001 certified. The vendor does not say which AI models it uses. All plans are aimed at businesses; single sign-on is only included in the Enterprise plan.
Limits
Prices are only available on request. The Essential plan is limited to 500 contracts and five users and has no API. The vendor does not offer mobile apps. The AI analysis does not replace legal review.
