Rival Workshop

Local app that shows the skills read by coding agents like Claude Code, Codex and Cursor as a bookshelf and lets you edit or disable them.

What it does

Rival Workshop is a local app that shows which skills – instruction files – coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex or Cursor load in your project. You can switch individual skills on and off and edit them. It ships with 150 editable skills across 22 areas, including product strategy, accessibility, design systems, frontend, backend, security and marketing. It also includes example projects, helpers for image generation via OpenAI, Replicate or fal, and the add-on tool Brief, which turns code changes into a visual report with source references.

Who it suits

Developers and agencies who already work with AI coding agents and want to keep track of the instructions their agents receive. Under the licence you may use the skills in any number of your own and client projects, but not resell them.

Data protection for businesses

The app runs on your computer; the product page does not say whether it sends any data to Rival. The actual AI processing is done by your coding agent, so that provider’s privacy and training rules apply. For the image features, inputs go to OpenAI, Replicate or fal using your own API key. Server location, data processing agreement, training use and business plans: not found.

Limits

Requires Node 20 or newer (or a folder installer), plus optional Python 3.10 for the image features. You also need your own subscription to Claude Code, Codex or Cursor. The vendor’s registered location and legal notice could not be found.
